Our Mihi Kākahu

This week we have been working hard on learning all about our school Mihi. We decided to put our own Mihi into our artwork for the term learning display and we can't wait for everyone to come and have a look! What do you think about it?

A Kitten for the King

This week we would like to share our beautiful story art. We read a great big book called A Kitten for the King and then made some art to remind us of the story. We had to first paint our background page in a colour that we got to choose. After that we had to use some newspaper to cut out the different body parts of the cat. We then used glue to stick the newspaper body parts on our coloured background so that it would look like a cat. Finally we used sellotape and stuck some straws onto our cat for whiskers. We had so much fun creating our Kittens for the King!!
